Tramway (ESTRAM)

The backbone of transportation in Eskişehir is the ESTRAM tramway network. It covers a wide area, connecting Eskişehir City Hospital, university campuses, the intercity bus terminal, and the city center. Student-populated districts such as Bağlar and University Street are interconnected by tram lines. Operating at frequent intervals, the tramway is the most practical means of urban transportation. Students benefit from discounted public transportation cards provided by the municipality. With the student card, tramway and bus fares are significantly reduced, making daily transportation highly affordable.

Cycling Culture in Eskişehir

With its flat terrain and extensive network of bike lanes, Eskişehir is often referred to as the 'Venice of Türkiye'. For students, cycling in Eskişehir is not only a recreational activity but also the most economical, fastest, and most environmentally friendly mode of transportation.

The city's cycling culture, dating back to the 1950s, continues today. At Velespit Park, you can find bicycle parking areas, a training track, repair stations, a cafeteria, and dedicated bicycle benches.

Whether commuting to campus, cycling along the Porsuk River, or traveling between parks, it is common to see hundreds of students on bicycles throughout the city.

Bicycles can be rented from local bike shops, or accessed through the Espedal Bike Sharing System provided by Tepebaşı Municipality and via the Tripy application.
